Every Sunday, NEPA Creative turns the spotlight on some awesome creatives. This week, we have Amber Drozda!

Amber is the owner of The Paper Poppy where she sells her handmade paper florals, gifts and home decor out of her home in Kingston, PA.

Amber has been crafting paper flowers and decor for almost 10 years. Trying to balance a full-time job and devote time to her craft has been a challenge as most creatives can relate to. She recently decided to take a leap of faith and devote herself fully to her craft and business.

She is inspired by bright colors, pretty patterns, vintage graphic design and inspiring quotes and words that reflect her life’s experiences. She can be seen roaming the isles of The Garden Drive-In’s flea market on Sundays looking for vintage bottles and ephemera to include in her designs.

She is currently an online student of The Floral Design Institute of Portland, Oregon where she is increasing her knowledge of design fundamentals and esthetics. Her most recent works have reflected classic floral design. Her future works will include more playful and artistic offerings that will uplift and inspire through words and images.

She will continue to offer event services (i.e. Weddings, Showers, Graduations) on a limited basis, but will be devoting the majority of her time making handmade florals, home decor and mixed media art.

Making something that brings joy to her customers inspires her to continue to evolve and stretch as an artist. She looks forward to attending local vendor events and showcasing her products on Etsy and her Facebook shop.
