Every Sunday, NEPA Creative turns the spotlight on some awesome creatives. This week, we have Aarika Whittle of Whittle Bones!

When Aarika was young, she was curious. She spent countless hours in the woods discovering wonders and getting lost in her own imagination. She turned to creation and art to make stories from her finds and fun.

Aarika’s grandmother Josephine was the most incredible woman and constantly fueled her love and passion for nature and art. She bought Aarika her very own art supplies and took her on her first scavenging hunts. Whether they were combing southern beaches for shark’s teeth or fossil hunting in the northern mountains, she was always teaching her and encouraging her. Her home was filled with curio cabinets and books holding the world’s wonders.

To Aarika, Whittle Bones is more than jewelry. It stands as a testament and token of gratitude for Josephine’s patience, time, knowledge, and the constant support and love that she showed her. For the beauty of nature, life, and death.

Aarika’s website has recently been relaunched and is live. Check it out by visiting: www.whittlebones.com
