Every Sunday, we turn the spotlight on some great creatives. This week, we have Shannon Buckley from Master Shot Studios!

Shannon is a passionate digital strategist that develops and delivers creative technical solutions that tell a compelling story to educate and inspire. She has 8+ years professional experience in digital media, instructional design and technology, strategic management, project management, and marketing. It’s with this experience that she operates Master Shot Studios, a pre-production, production, and post-production video services company that produces digital stories to create lasting impact for business clients and independent cinema.

Her creative journey started in the 90’s, when her parents bought their first computer and camcorder. As a child, she loved playing and experimenting with the computer, along with the bulky VHS-reeling camera, which felt like a real Hollywood movie camera right in her house. The power and imagination she had felt unstoppable and she began writing and filming her own short films with friends and family.

Usually, the ideas she thinks of are forgotten or never turned into anything tangible. Sometimes, she writes her ideas down in a journal to look back on later. Most of the time, it’s the ideas that keep her awake at night that become more fleshed out. For her clients, she always gets excited when she hears their passion for their idea, to the point where she becomes personally invested. She thinks that’s what makes the process much more fun.

The people closest to Shannon are her muse and inspire her work, as well as movies and music. When it comes to being creative, she believes it’s about doing something because you love doing it, creating out of nothing, and bringing to life what didn’t exist before.
