Every Sunday, NEPA Creative turns the spotlight on some awesome creatives. This week, we have Nadia Bruce of Cupcake Chromatography!

Nadia never thought of herself as creative, though she was always attracted to abstract art. At a young age she had an interest in dessert making and knew she wanted to be an entrepreneur. However, it was only after completing a degree in Forensic Toxicology that Nadia followed her passion for baking and found her creative medium in food.

She later established Cupcake Chromatography in 2009 which began as a blog demystifying scientific principles through cupcake making to make STEM education more palatable and later transformed it into a dessert company specializing in bespoke cakes, food crafting classes and sweet subscriptions. Nadia is inspired by the way cake brings people together, and how great cakes make people happy. With a mix of formal education and self-learning, Nadia is now known for creating concoctions of delicious and beautiful desserts, using a variety of edible mediums to create consumable art. Over the years, she has also taught hundreds of home bakers and fun seekers the art of Food Crafting. She also runs the fully online Cupcake Chromatography Cake Lab where their signature products Cake Cores and Cookies Greeting Cards are delivered throughout the US, and they make lovely and delicious cakes for weddings and special events in NEPA.

Through her work, Nadia’s hope is to bring sweetness and hope to customers, whom she calls Connoisseurs.
