Every Sunday, we turn the spotlight on some great creatives. This week, we have Christine Brown!

Christine was born and raised in northeastern PA. She has traveled all over the country and to parts of the world, but considers Scranton as her home base.

Christine has been interested in creating art ever since she was little. Her intuitive free flowing form of painting came about after she got sober almost 6 years ago.

Christine works with acrylic paints on canvas. She waters the acrylics down and uses her palm to spread the paint to create softer edges and a blending of colors, she then turns the canvas as she’s painting to create a continuous flow of color.

Mother Nature, forests, flowers, sunsets and sunrises, and gardens inspire Christine; anything that can be found in the natural world.

To Christine, being creative means allowing God to move through you in any form of expression, whether that is cooking, painting, singing, gardening, etc.See more of Christine’s art and view her custom paintings and originals on her Instagram and website.
