Every Sunday, NEPA Creative turns the spotlight on some awesome creatives. This week, we have something a little different. Today we are spotlighting NEPA Cyber First Friday!

Just like a Third Thursday or First Friday event that many cities have, NEPA Cyber First Friday (NEPACFF) is taking artists and giving them their own gallery which will be hosted by a local business on a digital platform. Here’s how it works: all of the artists’ galleries are uploaded to the “Photos” section of the NEPACFF Facebook page for the month of April (it started on April 3). Visitors can purchase their art or even simply make a small donation to them via PayPal or Venmo. Along with the images of work for sale, there will be contact info for the artists. You can make your purchases or donations by contacting them directly.

In addition to art, there are also quarantine performance videos in the Video section of the NEPACFF page. There you will find songs from Jay Preston from Esta Coda, Tom Flannery, Sean Flynn, Dustin Douglas, Zayre Mountain, Dustin Switzer from A Proud Monkey, Grant Williams, and more. NEPACFF aimed to cover all aspects of an event like this, shifted to an online platform so that people can still connect safely. But food and booze is up to the person clicking through! 🙂

This idea was born out of a love for art and for the love of our community. Keith Perks saw that sad truth that many local businesses, artists, and musicians have taken a financial hit during this Coronavirus Pandemic and wanted to do something about it. He worried about the clients he had and how their businesses would suffer from all of this. His heart broke for the artists and musicians in his life, including himself. He felt something pushing him to be proactive and he listened.

Keith had an idea to get a bunch of artists and musicians together in one place for visitors to check out and hopefully support them. While we all may be stuck inside, it doesn’t mean we can’t create art or support each other. We express ourselves and heal ourselves through art and music. These two things are vital to what we are facing today.

Check out the event by heading over to the NEPA Cyber First Friday Facebook page.

We know times are tough, so if you are not in a place to financially support the artists, you can show your support by sharing the NEPACFF page and getting the word out.
