Every Sunday, we turn the spotlight on some great creatives. This week, we have Michelle Piazza!
Michelle is a Filipino macramé artist from Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania and the owner of Passionate Weaver. She enjoys teaching and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo in Dunmore. She’s also a huge fan of KDramas, Korean culture and noodles!
She moved to Pennsylvania in 2016 to get married to the man of her prayers after living and working in Abu Dhabi, UAE for 7 years.
Passionate Weaver completely began on a whim. Her mother-in-law (a talented seamstress for Classique Clothes) inspired her to create a macramé wall hanging. She became hooked and hasn’t stopped weaving since.
Michelle has found that macramé is full of forgiveness. “You can always continue to shape something until it’s exactly what you envisioned.”
