Every Sunday, NEPA Creative turns the spotlight on some awesome creatives. This week, we have Jeremy Brown!
Jeremy Brown is the creator of Wallace.dog, an 8-bit corgi who loves adventures and acting out his favorite video games!
Jeremy launched the Wallace.dog project on January 1, 2018. The project consists of 99 published animations, 1 game in-development, dozens of characters, and nearly 5,000 followers across all platforms. The titular Wallace.dog visits exotic dog parks, plays with hoo-mans and fellow animals, and pays homage to games like Castlevania, Dark Souls, and Silent Hill.
The idea for Wallace.dog was born during a 300-day art creation streak, where Jeremy participated in the Twitter community “Pixel_Dailies” in publishing a new piece of art every day. During that time, he discovered his love for both animation and canine characters, and on March 30, 2017 he came up with what would become the character design for Wallace.dog. (It’s worth noting that before getting involved with Pixel_Dailies, Jeremy had virtually no prior experience with pixel art.)
When he’s not creating pinch-able pixel pets for the public, Jeremy is the project manager at Coal Creative. He enjoys watching video essays, sketching, and listening to video game music while exercising.
