Every Sunday, NEPA Creative turns the spotlight on some awesome creatives. This week, we have Chris Ritzco!
Chris was raised in Pittston and has lived in the NEPA valley all of his life. Growing up, he seemed to be a quiet kid to his friends, but that all changed after he graduated as he found new hobbies and activities to better himself. He got into the local car scene, went on adventures like hiking and just explored while pushing and proving to himself that nothing could stop him. However, around four years ago all of that came to a stop when a personal event happened that changed his life.
From then on, Chris had to get back to where he felt comfortable. He started taking photos of cars and getting more involved in the local car scene. With his friends, he started NEPA Underground. He went around NEPA and the surrounding areas and met some amazing people with some amazing vehicles. Chris was the main photographer for that page and all of sudden about a year later he started to get recognized. He sat down and thought, “You know, maybe I can go further with this.”
In the middle of 2019, Chris started a side project called Wizard Photography, a name that has gained some interest from locals and professional photographers in the area. Then, NEPA Underground and Wizard Photography combined into Magic Staff Studios.
Through the support of his girlfriend and family, Chris continues to push the limits of photography with just a Samsung Galaxy S10+ by his side. He wants people to know that it’s not the camera, but the creative mind behind it.
