Every Sunday, we turn the spotlight on some great creatives. This week, we have Steamed Accessories!

Steamed Accessories is brewed from three sisters who have a love for all things comfy and cozy. They wanted to create a shop that every cozy enthusiast could enjoy just as much as their mom does.

Native to NEPA, Amanda, Ashley and Afton spend a lot of time together doing everything from weekly family lunches, vacations, shopping trips, or grabbing a cup of coffee — which made going into business together a natural next step.

From mug cozies to blankets, Amanda (a.k.a. The Master Crocheter) picked up the art when she needed a hobby to stay busy. She enjoys taking a simple ball of yarn and creating wearable art.

Ashley, the Cricut-teer, is a master of adding drying humor to her favorite items. Instead of purchasing all of the mugs and totes she saw while scrolling, she knew she could make them on her own. She took her favorite sayings and began adding them to different items because somewhere out there, there are others who appreciate her humor in everyday life.

Afton is the candle maker and essential oil wizard. She started making soy woodwick candles after wanting her favorite scents all year, not just in October. From there, she added her love of crystals and herbs to enhance her blends.

Their newest Fall/Halloween collection will debut at the 2nd Annual Otherworldly Paranormal Craft and Oddities Fair at the Forty Fort cemetery on October 1, with it launching on Etsy after. You can find the Steam Team’s creations at local craft fairs and their Etsy store. If you’re looking for something custom, send them a message! They’ll bring your cozy dreams to life.
