Every Sunday, NEPA Creative turns the spotlight on some awesome creatives. This week, we have Rachel Corby!
Rachel Corby is an artist in Scranton, PA. By day, she is an insurance agent, but by night she is an artist. Rachel believes her purpose is to create whimsy and color the world. That’s the only life purpose that ever made sense to her. Rachel is meant to use creativity in order to provoke happiness from anyone who is willing to appreciate it. So, she became a painter and a pyrographer.
Rachel dabbles in many other art forms as well. She loves doing custom pyrography work. Pyrography is perhaps more well known as wood burning. Her favorite subject matter is people’s beloved pets, and anything in relation to the wilderness. She is so grateful to have her art as an outlet for anything in life that comes her way, good or bad.
To see more of Rachel’s work, check out her Instagram and her Facebook. Rachel can be reached via private message on either of those accounts for custom wood burning requests and collaborative ideas.
